BECCA HEATON-ROCKWELL
Founder
Becca grew up primarily in Massachusetts and is no stranger to academic challenges herself. In the first grade Becca was diagnosed with dyslexia. Despite her diagnosis in the mid-1970's, Becca went on to graduate from private boarding school and then went on to college. When she was offered a position in a private residance in 1994, Becca moved to Michigan to persue her interest in childcare and personal private assisting. In 2002 Becca went on to work as a personal private and executive administrative assistant in the corporate world until the birth of her twins in 2006. Becca is now a full-time single mother to her twins, and her daughter nineteen months their senior.
In 2013, Becca’s son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Becca was shocked and baffled to discover how little networking and supports there were for parents of children with special needs. Becca’s journey through her son’s diagnosis and treatments became the inspiration for Family Connections.
Becca brings with her 10+ years of administrative management experience, years of childcare experience and a extensive array of networking to Family Connections.
